After completing my ICT project I feel really happy about what I have achieved. I think my portfolio expresses very well how music can give you a sense of place and more specifically different things within music that can be your sense of place. I am pleased about how my paper mache musical note turned out as I have never done anything like that before and I really enjoyed making it.
Overall I enjoyed aspects of the ICT and Visual communications module as it allowed me to be creative and demonstrate how ICT is important for today.

After thinking about which theme would be best to use for my project, I thought that I would be able to explain music as a sense of place. Music can be heavily influential on people and can develop many emotions within people. It can make you feel a part of something and I thought I could show this through examples such as choirs, intruments, what music means to me etc.
I decided to look on the internet for any artists who have been influences by music or who use music in their work. I came across Pablo Picasso and really liked his quirky style of art. He uses a lot of paintings of music and so I thought that his work could support my work very well. Below I have added an example of work by Picasso.
